behind the high school.
16a.
Hurrell Field, Glen Ridge
Hurrell Field is located
between Bloomfield and
Belleville Ave's. From the
Garden State Parkway, you
take GSP Exit 148,
Bloomfield Ave (coming
either North or South). You
turn west onto Bloomfield
Ave.
From the south, you will
come to a stoplight after
exiting the ramp. This is
Bloomfield Ave. You cannot
turn left there, so you will
drive through the light,
loop under the GSP overpass,
then turn right at the gas
station.
From the north, you will
exit off the GSP and make an
immediate right turn at the
light (Montgomery St.).
Drive to the second light
(Bloomfield Ave.) and turn
right.
Once on Bloomfield Ave.
(County Road 506), you will
travel ~ 1 mile, through
Bloomfield Center and into
Glen Ridge. You will
eventually come to an
intersection with a school
on the right, a park on the
left, and the Municipal
buildings across the street
on the right. This is
Ridgewood Ave. (County Road
653). Drive through this
light and make a right at
the next block (Herman
Street). The police station
is on the corner. At the end
of this road, turn left onto
Belleville Ave. The field is
100 yards up the road to
your left.

Vailsburg Field, South
Orange, NJ
From the North:
Vailburg Park is 100 yards
west of the Garden State
Parkway. Take Garden State
Parkway South to Exit 144 -
South Orange Avenue/County
Road 510 jug-handle. Turn right onto
Myrtle Ave. Drive 300 yards,
the field is on the left.
From the South:
Take Garden State Parkway
North to Exit 144 - South
Orange Avenue/County Road
510 merge
onto Eastern
Parkway/Speedway Ave. for (~0.5
miles). Turn left onto South
Orange Ave. under GSP Overpass.
Make immediate left onto Oraton Parkway (it may also
say Mayburn or S. Devine
St). The field is 100
yards on the right.

Brookdale Park,
Montclair, NJ
Garden State Parkway to Exit
151 (Watchung Ave.). Take
Watchung Ave. west towards
Montclair (driving south on
GSP, make right turn after
tolls). Pass 2 stoplights
(Broughton Ave. and Broad
St.). After passing light at
Broad Street, make a 2nd
right (about 100 yards) into
Brookdale Park entrance.
Follow road half-way around
the park. The parking lot is
on the left and the field is
in front of the lot.
17. Germonds Park Field,
Bardonia, NY
From NJ/The South. Take
Kinderkamack Rd., which
turns into Route 304 as you
cross into Pearl River, NY.
Follow Route 304 North,
approximately 4 miles, you
will cross over the top of
Route 87 (NY State Thruway)
and then the Palisades
Interstate Parkway. Go to
the 4th light, after you
cross over those 2 highways,
make a right turn onto
Germonds Rd./Route 27 (Albertus
Magnus HS is on the corner),
soon make a right hand 90º
turn, following Route 27
sign, following still on
Germonds Rd. until you reach
'Germonds Park'. Make right
into park. Follow
road/driveway all the way to
the end, which is the back
parking lot - park. Walk to
field #1, all the way in the
back. (No dugouts, no
overhang over plate, big
outfield, backstop back
further)

school sign is hidden by
trees, but shcool is on

will be using Field #1,
straight back. Field #1 is

here for the first time,

From NJ/West: Take Grand
Ave. exit east to the end.
At the "T" intersection make
a left onto S. Middletown
Rd., at the 1st light make a
right onto Gilbert Ave. Go
up a short hill, just past
the next light, road forks,
stay to the right onto
Veteran's Memorial Drive.
Make the 2nd right onto Hunt
Rd., make first left into
Veteran's Memorial Park
Complex. Our field is to the
right.
From Tappan Zee Bridge/East:
Take 87/287 West to
Palisades Interstate Parkway
South. Go to exit 6W and go
right off exit ramp onto
Orangeburg Rd. Follow thru 2
lights and make a left on
Hunt Rd. Make 1st left into
Veteran's Memorial Park
Complex. Our field is to the
right.
